Apricot extra jam

Ancient varieties of apricots harvested when ripe for consumption, from trees scattered among the vineyards and almond groves of the area. The environments from which they grow, from humble citrus gardens up to the orchards on the slopes of Etna, helps to create the seductive bouquet of this jam.

Eat it for breakfast with slices of sourdough bread, rusks, and biscuits. It is excellent with very fresh cheese, such as buffalo mozzarella, stracciatella, Squacquerone, cheese with low seasoning rennet, and goat cheeses. In pastry, it can be used for pies and shortbread biscuits with an intense butter flavor, also with fresh fruit salads and ice creams.
